Bespoke Recruitment - Securing The Future of Agriculture Since 2000

Standing With Farmers: Our Partnership with We Are Farming Minds

At De Lacy Executive Recruitment, we’ve always believed that recruitment is about more than placements—it’s about people. That’s why we’re proud to be platinum sponsors of We Are Farming Minds, a Herefordshire-based charity doing vital work to support mental health in agriculture.

Farming is a way of life, but it comes with unique pressures: isolation, financial uncertainty, long hours, and generational responsibility. We Are Farming Minds offers free, confidential support to those facing these challenges, including a 24/7 helpline, counselling, community events, and mental health training.

Their events are particularly powerful. From Women What Farm and Men in Agriculture to One Foot in the Grain, these initiatives bring farmers together to share experiences, reduce isolation, and build community. They also run Mental Health Awareness Courses, Walk and Talk sessions, and social evenings—all designed to create safe spaces for open conversation and peer support.

Harry, grace and Rupert attend we are farming minds course in Leominster

Earlier this year, Grace, Rupert and Harry from our team attended one of their Mental Health Awareness Courses in Leominster. It was a hard-hitting and practical session that covered how to spot signs of poor mental health, offer support, and respond to suicide risk. The course was attended by others from the farming community, and the conversations were honest, emotional and deeply relevant. We left with a stronger understanding of how to support those around us—and a renewed commitment to keeping the conversation going.

As platinum sponsors, a proportion of every placement fee we earn goes directly to support the charity’s work. We’re also committed to raising awareness and funds through events—including a new fundraiser we’ll be announcing shortly.

As we mark 25 years of recruitment excellence, we’re proud to stand with a charity that’s saving lives in farming. Here’s to continuing the conversation, breaking the stigma, and making a difference—together.
