Grace Nugent Shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year

Managing Director Grace Nugent has been shortlisted for Business Leader of the Year, recognising her leadership and contribution to both De Lacy Executive and the wider agricultural recruitment sector.

Grace's career is closely intertwined with the growth of the business. Having joined De Lacy Executive in 2011 as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, she has progressed through a number of roles before ultimately becoming Managing Director. Her journey through the organisation has given her a unique understanding of both the challenges facing clients and the importance of building a recruitment business that delivers long-term value.

With a background in farming and agricultural business management, Grace combines commercial expertise with practical industry knowledge. Today she works closely with agricultural businesses across the UK, helping them plan for future workforce needs, strengthen recruitment processes and address succession challenges in an increasingly competitive labour market.

Her shortlisting reflects not only her leadership of the business, but also her commitment to supporting clients as they navigate the evolving demands of the agricultural sector.

Harry Porter Shortlisted for Permanent Recruiter of the Year

Key Account Consultant Harry Porter has been shortlisted for Permanent Recruiter of the Year, recognising his success in helping agricultural businesses secure talented professionals across a range of specialist disciplines.

Having grown up in a rural environment with strong connections to farming, Harry has always had a keen interest in the agricultural sector. Since joining De Lacy Executive, he has built a reputation for developing strong relationships with both clients and candidates, taking the time to understand the needs of each business and the ambitions of the individuals he works with.

In recent years, Harry has become particularly involved in recruitment across the pig and poultry sectors, while also supporting businesses within animal nutrition and agricultural assurance. These specialist markets require a detailed understanding of both technical roles and industry challenges, making relationship-led recruitment especially important.

His shortlisting acknowledges the results he has delivered for clients, as well as his commitment to providing a consultative and professional service throughout the recruitment process.
