Are you a passionate about livestock and ready to embark on a career in ruminant nutrition?

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic individual to support and grow our their Ruminant Nutritionist team in the Southwest.

After receiving full training to support your development, you’ll work alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team, provide technical advice and build strong relationships with farmers and customers across the region.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a real interest in livestock nutrition who wants to develop their skills, build a successful career and contribute to higher productivity and profitability for farms in the region.

Role & Responsibilities

As Trainee Ruminant Nutritionist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Offering practical nutritional advice and support to farmers

• Building and managing your own customer accounts

• Supporting the wider team in looking after existing customers

• Prospecting for new business and opportunities to promote our services

• Attending technical training sessions and sales meetings

• Representing the business at agricultural shows and conferences

About You:

To thrive in this role, you will:

• Have a genuine passion for the agriculture sector and livestock performance

• Be eager to learn and develop your technical nutrition knowledge

• Demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach

• Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Be IT proficient with good organisational skills

• Bring a positive attitude and a sense of humour to your work

• Hold a clean full UK driving licence

No formal nutrition qualification is essential — full training will be provided to support your development.
