International Head of Sales

We are partnered with a global leader in agricultural innovation, specialising in research, breeding, and production of high-performing crop varieties. With a strong focus on sustainability and technology, the organisation works closely with growers to deliver solutions that improve resilience and productivity.
They are seeking an experienced Regional Head of Sales to lead the commercial strategy and drive sustainable growth across multiple countries within a defined region. This is a senior leadership role focused on unlocking market potential, shaping strategic direction, and building high-performing sales teams.
You will dedicate a significant portion of your time to developing a key strategic country within the region, while ensuring strong performance across all markets. The role combines strategic planning, commercial execution, and team leadership to deliver long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Leadership:
o Define and implement regional sales strategies and country-specific growth plans.
o Monitor market trends and competitor actions to adapt strategies effectively.
o Contribute to regional and global commercial agendas.
• Commercial Performance:
o Own regional budget and forecasting processes.
o Track performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
o Manage resource allocation across countries.
• Team Development:
o Lead and develop a team of 10–20 people, including 3–5 direct reports.
o Coach and upskill country sales teams, fostering best-practice sharing.
o Support account development for key customers and distributors.
What We’re Looking For
• Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
• Commercial sales experience, ideally within the agricultural or seed industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-country teams.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen with a track record of delivering results.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Fluent English: additional regional languages are an advantage.
Skills & Attributes
• Ability to analyse market data and sales trends to guide decisions.
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across R&D, marketing, supply chain, and regulatory functions.
• Strong leadership qualities with a coaching approach and focus on capability building.
