CROP TRIALS OFFICER or R&D AGRONOMIST (or ASSISTANT TRIALS OFFICER)

TRIALS OFFICER - MIDLANDS OR NORTH OF ENGLAND

We are seeking several Trials Officers to join an expanding and successful research team working on agricultural and horticultural research and field trials relating to crop protection, agrochemicals and crop varieties. Field studies conducted on site in the Midlands and also on agricultural crops at sites across the Midlands and North of England. Ideally candidates should reside in the Midlands or North East (specifically in the counties of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire or Oxfordshire). Requirements:

- Candidates need to have at least one years? work experience in Field Trials, or Crop Trials work. For the more senior positions at least 2-3 years? work experience.

- Must be conversant with necessary procedures and protocols including safety & efficacy.

- Experience in working to stringent technical and quality guidelines.

- Ideally candidates will be a graduate/HND in Agriculture/Plant Science/Biology or similar.

- Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team when required.

- Farming and arable crop growing experience and knowledge helpful.

- Computer literate - good report writing and data handling skills are required.

- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Full driving licence essential.

Candidates with less crop trials experience can also apply as an Assistant Crop Trials Officer/Trainee Crop Trials Officer position is also available.

Locations: Site based in Midlands or home based within the Midlands/North of England.
