De Lacy Executive are currently seeking a beef supply chain manager to support livestock marketing and procurement activities for a successful and expanding global business.
The company has created an innovative software system to improve traceability, and the economic and environmental impacts of livestock production. With the increasing growth of remote livestock sales, the software gives farmers the tools to make better informed decisions about sourcing, breeding and animal management, including animal health to meet retail and consumer demands.
This homebased role is suitable for an individual that will be motivated by excellent results and have a passion for the beef industry. This role offers a competitive package and the chance to build and train a team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with current and new suppliers; ensuring that stock is bought to plan at the given weekly price on farm or market to the required specification.
- Support the technology team on product enhancements and development.
- Monitor supplier performance, across all KPI'S working closely alongside all livestock entities.
- Confirm all buying on time in full as soon as possible, to conform to planning, operations and transport.
- Ensure that livestock is sourced to the businesses needs and to the requirements of the customer.
Requirements:
- Experience in livestock procurement.
- Excellent beef industry knowledge.
- An interest in Agri-technology.
- A good communicator, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to build strong relationships with customers.
- A Full UK driving licence.
