Farming & Technical Engagement Lead

This is an opportunity to join RSPCA Assured as a Farming & Technical Engagement Lead, working directly with farmers on the scheme to support them in implementing and meeting RSPCA Assured’s standards.

As one of the UK’s leading farm assurance schemes, RSPCA Assured covers a range of farmed species, including pigs, poultry, cattle, sheep and fish.

You’ll work closely with new and existing scheme members, providing practical advice and guidance to help them understand and meet scheme requirements.

This is very much an engagement-focused role, so we’re looking for someone who understands commercial farming, can communicate effectively with farmers and build strong relationships. You’ll work with members to identify issues, find practical solutions and support them in meeting the required standards.

This is a homebased role with regular travel across the UK.

The role:

• Engage with new and existing RSPCA Assured scheme members
• Provide advice and guidance to members to help them comply with assurance scheme standards
• Work closely with farm assessors to support with non-compliance
• Liaise with industry to facilitate ongoing development of standards
• Represent RSPCA Assured at events and meetings
• Report writing – record findings and recommendations on CRM system
• National travel to visit scheme members

About you:

• Commitment to high welfare standards
• Strong understanding of commercial farming
• UK driving licence
• Willing to travel nationally
