As part of a planned succession strategy, you'll receive hands-on training across grain trading, customer management, market analysis and agricultural inputs. Over time, you'll take on greater responsibility while being supported by an experienced mentor.
This role is ideal for a bright graduate or ambitious individual with a strong understanding of agriculture who is keen to build a commercial career. No previous grain trading experience is required, just an eagerness to learn, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in the industry.
Role Overview
- Learn the fundamentals of grain trading and agricultural commodity markets.
- Build relationships with growers, merchants and customers.
- Monitor grain markets, crop conditions and industry trends.
- Support grain buying, selling and contract administration.
- Coordinate grain movements with customers and internal teams.
- Assist with the sale of agricultural inputs, including fertiliser.
- Attend farm visits, agricultural events and customer meetings.
- Develop into a key part of the trading operation through a structured succession plan.
About You
- Degree educated, ideally in Agriculture, Agri-Business, Rural Business Management or a related subject.
- Strong interest in agriculture, markets and commercial business.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop a long-term career.
- Agricultural knowledge gained through education or industry exposure.
