Following the recent securing of several significant new clients, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth. As a result, they are seeking a high-calibre Operations Manager to lead delivery, ensure orders are fulfilled to a high standard, and build lasting trust with these customers.
You’ll inherit a well-established operation and an experienced team, giving you the platform to focus on driving performance, improving efficiency, and embedding continuous improvement from day one.
This role also offers the chance to join the senior management team and play a key part in the company’s ongoing growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production of agricultural products, ensuring output targets are consistently met whilst minimising downtime
- Lead, motivate and manage the performance of the operations team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Manage raw material purchasing, stock levels and inventory control to support efficient production
- Oversee dispatch operations, coordinating with hauliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of finished goods
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site, ensuring compliance at all times
- Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant industry regulations and standards
- Monitor production costs and budgets, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
About you:
- Proven experience in a production or operations management role, ideally within manufacturing or agriculture
- A hands-on leader who can motivate teams and drive performance on the factory floor
- Strong understanding of health and safety, with a proactive approach
- Commercially aware, with experience managing costs and improving efficiency
- Organised and practical, with the ability to balance production, stock and dispatch demands
