De Lacy Executive is working with one of the UK’s leading poultry producers to appoint an experienced Agriculture Director to lead regional operations across the North of England.
Reporting to the COO, this senior role carries full responsibility for breeding, hatching and rearing operations within the region.
You will provide strong operational leadership, ensure consistently high welfare standards and play a key role in delivering performance improvement and long-term sustainability.
While this is a broad leadership position, strong technical expertise in at least one area of poultry production (breeding, rearing or hatching) is essential.
You will be a capable people leader, able to translate strategy into practical delivery and develop high performing teams across the operation.
The business continues to invest in its agricultural platform, and this appointment will be central to driving consistency, efficiency and future capability across the region.
The role:
- Lead and oversee regional broiler, breeding and hatching operations.
- Full accountability for breeding, hatching and rearing activities.
- Champion high welfare and sustainable farming practices.
- Ensure compliance and audit readiness across all sites.
- Use data and KPIs to drive performance and informed decision making.
- Manage costs, improve efficiency and support continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the COO to deliver regional and group objectives.
You will have:
- Proven experience in broiler growing, breeding or hatching.
- A strong track record of operational leadership within the poultry sector.
- Effective people management and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing cost and performance.
- A data led approach to decision making.
