National Sales Team Manager - Bovine Genetics

UK – Home-based with UK travel (dairy regions preferred)

This role offers a genuine mix of home working, customer visits, and time spent out in the field with your team.
You’ll take responsibility for the UK side of a well-established international company in bovine genetics, focusing on sales performance, customer relationships, and, importantly, developing your people.
The opportunity:
Reporting to the International Regional Sales Manager, you will have full commercial responsibility for the UK business, leading a team of seven business development Mmanagers located across the UK’s key dairy regions.
You will spend most of your time with customers and alongside your BDMs, allowing you to focus on:
• Driving sales performance
• Strengthening farmer relationships
• Coaching and developing your team through hands on leadership
What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading and supporting a team of field-based sales representatives across the UK
• Working from home to manage plans, performance, and communication
• Visiting dairy farmers and key customers to build strong relationships
• Spending regular time in the field with your team, coaching and training them during real customer interactions
• Helping each team member improve their sales approach and grow their accounts
• Driving overall sales performance across the UK
• Feeding back market insights and customer feedback to the wider business
• Representing the company at industry events and farmer meetings
Your profile:
You will be an established and credible commercial professional within the dairy sector, comfortable operating at farmer level while leading others.
You are likely to bring:
• Experience selling into the dairy or agricultural sector (ideally bovine genetics or similar)
• A strong track record of building relationships with farmers
• Experience managing, mentoring, or training salespeople
• Someone who enjoys developing others and improving team performance
• A practical, grounded approach with the ability to balance planning and time in the field
• Good commercial awareness
