Calf Rearing Specialist - midlands

We are seeking a Calf Rearing Specialist to support our client's field based sales team in the midlands.

The role is promote the company's dairy heifer rearing programme direct to farmers at events and on a one-to-one basis. The company, a very successful agricultural business, provides feeds, consumables and equipment for the programme and the Specialist will support sales of these items as well as providing technical support and services to farmers on the programme.

This is a new venture and so it provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to influence the design and marketing of the programme and to grow in responsibility within the company as the programme develops.

The territory initially broadly covers the midlands with some opportunities further afield into Wales. Applicants should be comfortable with a significant amount of driving but should live in the midlands.

Applicant requirements:

• Thorough knowledge and experience of calf/cattle rearing.
• Confident to give technical presentations to groups of farmers.
• Credibility with farmers.
• Commercial acumen.
• Previous sales experience would be ideal but is not essential.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to build good business relationships with professional farmers.
• Ideally a college/university education.
• Good planning skills.
• Confident driver with a valid licence.
