This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a mixed farming business that includes a beef enterprise, free-range poultry unit, and arable operation across 1,100 acres in the picturesque market town of South Lincolnshire.
This family-owned business also offers accommodation, with excellent local amenities and both primary and secondary schools close by.
Key Responsibilities:
• The day-to-day running of the beef farming enterprise.
• Manage and provide training to the team.
• Maintain accurate breeding plans and farm records.
• Able to take youngstock through to finishing, as well as breeding replacements.
• Liaise with vets, nutritionists, and farm representatives.
What we are looking for
• An experienced beef breeding herd manager
• Good understanding of a mixed farming enterprise
• Flexible in meeting the demands of the business
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with Breeder software and genetics
• Good organisational skills and knowledge of farming finances
• Competent in operating farm machinery
• Full UK driving licence
