De Lacy Executive has been engaged by Kingshay to recruit an Agricultural Data Analyst. Kingshay specialises in providing independent technical services to farmers and the wider industry, throughout the UK. The effective use of data has long been a mainstay of many of the services that Kingshay offer and there are increasing opportunities to accurately collect, analyse, interpret and report data.

Main responsibilities:

  • Kingshay have a large contract to deliver Carbon Footprint assessments on a range of livestock and crop farms that sell produce to a major UK retailer.
  • The successful candidate will support this contract by:

- Compiling, validating and analysing data

- Interpreting results and understanding reasons for change

- Creating reports to effectively present key results

- Assisting with program development

- Program testing

- Helping to maintain a high quality and efficient service

  • Kingshay Dairy Manager is the leading independent dairy herd costings in the UK and is a major part of Kingshay's activities. It has a reputation for high quality in-depth reports & analysis. The principle responsibilities include:

- Data analysis

- Assisting with program development and testing

  • Support other team members/sections of the business in analysing data and presenting results.

Preferred applicants will have:

  • Experience within an analyst role.
  • A relevant qualification, preferably to degree level.
  • A methodical yet innovative approach and be able to collate, analyse and interrogate data, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills, with the ability to quickly develop new skills, especially with Excel and SQL Server databases.
  • Experience of farming preferably within the dairy sector.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Competent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A good team player but with the initiative and drive to work on their own.
  • Commitment to improving personal skills and understanding our business.

The role is based at the Glastonbury Office in the South West.

A competitive salary is offered appropriate to the experience of the individual.
