GeneWatch UK

A not-for-profit organisation, GeneWatch UK is a policy research and public interest group that monitors new developments in genetic technologies and investigates how they impact health, food, agriculture, society and the environment. GeneWatch looks at developments from the eyes of the public, human rights, environmental protection and animal welfare groups. GeneWatch is a firm believer in the public having a say in whether new technology should be used and how it should be used.

GeneWatch strives to ensure that genetic technologies are created and executed in a way that protects the health of humans, animals and the environment. GeneWatch also aims to increase public understanding of genetic technologies and science, and promote the involvement of the public in scientific decisions.
