Commercially independent crop consultants' professional organisation, the Association of Independent Crop Consultants (AICC) was founded in 1981. The goal of the organisation is to promote and improve the crop consultant profession within the agricultural industry, and has become Europe's largest group of independent crop consultants. AICC also works to promote the interest of its members and to enhance and support their professional and training needs. AICC promotes and supports crop consultants on a national stage, and they also have a regional structure with one in Scotland and seven in England. AICC also has a directory which shows the variety of agronomy areas and specialities. Finally, AICC has a minimum technical standard for all members, and is bound through an enforced code of conduct.
