Assistant Farm Manager - Poultry
Reference: HP109
Somerset
Are you ready to take the next step in your poultry career? This is an exciting opportunity to support the running of a newly refurbished broiler breeder site in Somerset.
Whether you're an existing Assistant Farm Manager or a graduate with hands-on poultry experience, this family run farm offers a supportive environment focused on welfare, quality, and work life balance.
The site houses 25,000 birds and has recently undergone a full modernisation, providing excellent facilities and working conditions. You’ll work closely with the Farm Manager and owners to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the farm, maintaining high standards of bird welfare, fertility, and biosecurity.
While experience with broiler breeders is ideal, candidates from broiler or layer backgrounds are encouraged to apply. What matters most is a solid foundation in poultry husbandry, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to take ownership and learn.
This is a hands-on role with a five day working week, designed to support a sustainable work-life balance. You’ll be joining a close-knit, family run team that values doing things properly and investing in its people.
