Wessex Grain

Established in 1980, Wessex Grain has developed into three parallel companies. These three companies are Wessex Green Store, Wessex Grain Marketing Ltd and Henstridge Grain Services. Wessex Grain has emerged as one of the UK's top ten grain traders. The company is known for reliable service working with grain users and growers. Wessex Grain has evolved into the region's only major grain trading business. The company recently completed a £2.5 million upgrade, and has the ability to blend grain on-site, in state-of-the-art facilities, with increased capacity and a single 17,000 tonne flat store.

Wessex has a number of farmers who store grain without the worry of infestation, inconvenient grain collections, or rejected loads, improving the marketability of the grain and increasing its value. Overall, Wessex Grain trades approximately 450,000 combinable crop tonnes per year. Wessex Grain has built relationships with prominent flour and oat millers, oil crushers and maltsters, and supplies the southwest region with animal feed compounders.
