The Oldershaw Group supplies whole and prepared shallots, garlic and onions to several wholesalers and retailers. The company has been a leader in the development of technology for the onion industry, introducing innovative methods of growing, harvesting, processing and storing onions to the industry. The Oldershaw Group has infra-red onion grading technology in which the technology sorts onions based on weights and sizes, as well as identifying possible defects, ensuring that only top quality onions are distributed.

The Oldershaw Group is also a founding member of UKShallot.com which promotes the benefits and awareness of UK shallots. The network of growers that the company has provides 1700 tonnes of onions weekly. While company farms start off the onion season, British growers also help with the supply, and 50 international growers supply the crop to the company when it is not available in the UK.
