Islay Crab Exports

A family-run business on Isle of Islay, Islay Crab Exports supplies local and quality green, brown, spider, and velvet crabs, lobster, razor clams, prime fish, scallop meat, and winkles to consumers across Europe.

Established in 1985, Islay Crab Exports has a vast knowledge of the shellfish industry, and operates a fleet of boats catching shellfish every day. The boats sail locally, and also to France and Spain. Having these boats also makes it easier to test out new innovations in attempts of improving the catching, storing and holding of the product. All of Islay Crab Exports shellfish is transported and sold live, as they are transported through an adapted Vivier lorry which has aerated tanks.
