A grower-owned and managed apple and pear co-operative, Fruitlink has members throughout the East of England. Established in 1973 by a group of local growers, Fruitlink developed over the next 12 years to create a packhouse in Wisbech in 1985, allowing the group to supply the retail sector from a central area. Members of Fruitlink specialise in conference pears, apple varieties and Bramley's Seedling which is a unique British apple variety. Growing 10% of the UK crop, Fruitlink growers are prominent members of the Bramley Campaign which supports and promotes the Bramley. Fruitlink supplies British wholesalers, food service companies, supermarkets, independent retailers, and processors with pears and apples. Fruitlink growers are constantly developing new production techniques in order to maximize production and quality as well as investing in new orchards to increase yields. Recently Fruitlink merged with the Fruit Growers Alliance, bringing together two similar organisations.
