Fruit Growers Alliance

Made up of growers from East Anglia and South East England, Fruit Growers Alliance (FGA) is a group of high quality pear, plum and apple growers. FGA is a producer organisation with a membership of 16 growers. FGA produces approximately 13,400 tonnes of product which makes up 8% of the UK's total production. FGA's products go to supermarkets through Orchard World, Hochfield, Norman Collett and Empire World Trade.

FGA has been trying to become completely self-sufficient in terms of production and storage and had 1,800 tonnes of new stores constructed to meet this goal in 2013. FGA plans to increase to a target of 25,000 tonnes produced annually in the next five years, meaning an increase of over 10,000 tonnes through new varieties and more planting, as well as increasing membership. FGA currently produces 16 different fruit.
