CAFRE
The College of Agriculture, Food & Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) has three campuses and offers a variety of courses, facilities and majors to students. Supporting the Agri-Food sector, CAFRE helps with industry training, business development, planning, benchmarking, and technology and knowledge transfer to students and staff. The college offers a variety of farmer and grower-targeted training programs. CAFRE also provides assistance to the food manufacturing sectors in Northern Ireland by developing and maintaining technological support systems and services for the major commodity sectors.
CAFRE offers courses and majors in a range of agricultural disciplines including agriculture, food, equine, horticulture, floristry, agricultural engineering, business, and veterinary nursing. Impressively, more than 93% of CAFRE students were either employed, continuing education, or on a gap year in 2012. CAFRE provides students with the opportunity to get out of the classroom and study with hands-on lessons in state-of-the-art facilities.
