British Veterinary Association (BVA)
The national representative body for veterinary professionals, the British Veterinary Association (BVA) helps members throughout their professional veterinary careers from schooling to retirement. With over 15,000 members, BVA is the only UK association to encompass all veterinary disciplines. BVA provides a voice to members and supports them through a number of services. The BVA also develops policies based on evidence and members' expertise as well as providing legal advice and services, training, resources and professional guides to its members. The association also provides members with vast amounts of industry and professional news and information through their veterinary journals. Finally, the BVA provides workplace guidance for a variety of different topics and areas within the veterinary profession, including human resources, employment law, medicines, ethical guidance, practice management and veterinary certification.
