Founded in 1957, The British Institute of Agricultural Consultants (BIAC) is an organisation of agricultural consultants that provides advice to partners, directors, employees, principals and individuals about not just farming and food but also occupation and ownership of rural businesses and land. BIAC maintains a register of all members of the organisation, including their skills and contact information, to help promote members in the marketplace. BIAC also brings relevant knowledge and information to the forefront for members, in order to assist them in their professional development. The organisation also provides seminars, workshops and meetings for members to improve and maintain their technical knowledge in a variety of areas including business management, expert opinion, environment, international, livestock, and rural planning. BIAC does this with the purpose of providing quality advice to industry professionals in the rural, food and environment sectors, to promote members of the organisation to industry professionals and market leaders, and to help young members to become high quality consultants.
