The British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association (BAGMA)
Established in 1917 as the National Association of Agricultural Engineers and Implement Dealers, The British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association (BAGMA) is a dealer trade organisation for garden, agricultural and ground care machinery for dealers within the Land-based Engineering Sector. A Specialist Division of the British Independent Retailers Association, BAGMA works to draw new people into the land-based industry sector.
With over 3000 dealers, over 25,000 staff, and worth over £4 billion a year, the Land-based Engineering Sector is a huge industry and BAGMA helps provide access to training and apprentice programmes to establish fully-trained workers. The association ensures that new talent is coming into the industry, and that careers in the industry come with a clear career path. At the government level, BAGMA represents and promotes the interest of the industry and its members to improve the trading conditions within the UK for machinery dealers.
