Sales Director - Agricultural Machinery - OD020
Our client, a well-established East of England Dealer in the agricultural machinery industry, is looking to recruit a Sales Director to lead their dynamic retail sales team. The company’s mission is clear: to continue driving growth, exceeding revenue targets, and maintain its marketing leading reputation in the agricultural sector.
As the Sales Director, you will be at the helm of the sales operation, charged with leading the sales team to new heights. You’ll have the responsibility of developing and executing robust sales strategies, driving financial performance, and overseeing the P&L to ensure all targets are met — and exceeded. You will nurture a culture of excellence, guiding the team with your vision, and inspiring them to push boundaries, achieve high performance, and continuously improve.
But what does success look like for the Sales Director in this company? It’s about strategy. It’s about people. And, above all, it’s about results.
Your Role:
• Oversee budgets, pricing, and financial plans to maximise revenue and maintain cost efficiency across new and used stock.
• Develop strategies to meet sales targets, expand market reach, and stay ahead of market trends and competitors.
• Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and KPIs to drive performance and exceed targets.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact for major accounts and ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
• Work closely with finance to create accurate sales forecasts and track performance, providing insights to guide future strategies.
• Align sales initiatives with after-sales, support, and executive teams to ensure company goals are achieved.
• Identify training needs and implement programmes to keep your team’s skills sharp and ahead of industry trends.
What We’re Looking For:
• A dynamic sales leader with at experience in driving high-performance teams, ideally within agricultural machinery or heavy goods vehicles.
• Proven experience as a Sales Director or similar senior management role in the retail industry.
• Proven expertise in P&L management with a knack for maximising financial performance and hitting revenue targets.
• Exceptional leadership skills – you know how to motivate, inspire, and get the best out of your team to crush targets and push boundaries.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
• A strategic mindset with a passion for analysing data, spotting emerging trends, and making bold moves to stay ahead of the competition.
• A proven track record of success in fast-paced, competitive environments where you thrive under pressure and deliver results that make an impact.
What's in it for you?
In return for your expertise and commitment, you'll receive a competitive salary, incentives, pension, life assurance, company car, generous holidays, and the opportunity to build a long-term career whilst working for a company that values innovation, leadership, and customer success. You’ll have the chance to shape the future of a global brand, working alongside passionate professionals who share your drive for excellence.
If you’re ready to lead a high-performing team and make a significant impact on the success of a leading global agricultural machinery company, then this is the opportunity for you.
