You're role will involve taking on full P&L and long-term strategic responsibility as well as leadership of a multifunctional team of senior managers. This is a role for someone who can influence people and processes, someone who can bring people along with their vision and inspire those around them.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the business strategy to achieve growth targets, enhance market presence, and improve profitability.
Operational Management: Oversee operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
Financial Oversight: Manage the financial performance of the business to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats, adapting business strategies accordingly.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the business and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainable practices within the business operations and ESG objectives.
Health and Safety Compliance: Promoting a safe working environment for all employees and stakeholders.
Community Engagement: Foster relationships with local communities and agricultural organisations.
Workplace Culture and Accreditation: Champion initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture aligned with the Great Place to Work strategy.
Your profile and experience:
Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the agriculture sector.
Strong understanding of agricultural operations, supply chain management, and market dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams ensuring an appropriate mix of skills, backgrounds and experience within the team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience of sustainability practices and initiatives in the agriculture sector.
Knowledge of emerging technologies and innovations in agriculture that can enhance operational efficiency and product offerings.
