Strategic Research Development Coordinator (Homeworking) - JN163
Play a central role in UK agri-tech innovation with an organisation that brings together leading scientists, farmers, advisors, innovators and businesses to increase crop productivity through new technologies.
You will be supporting the innovation director and innovation network lead in continuing the development and success of a growing company programme.
You will drive strategy across the organisation's R&D portfolio. The role will entail liaising with partners, members and external stakeholders to enhance networks, build consortia and write bids, utilizing your technical expertise.
You will coordinate a range of strategic support services as well as development of sector-wide, externally funded strategic partnerships.
Your main duties will include:
Strategic development Conduct market research, networking and stakeholder facilitation.
Initiate, develop and lead successful applicants and bid proposals.
Support both the successful delivery of projects and the preparation of business cases for strategic investment in the Agri-Tech sector.
Act as a key scientific / technical point of contact.
Create and develop partnership and consortium networks with business partners.
Raise business awareness.
Assist with appropriate reporting to the innovation, operational, commercial. teams and monitoring officer as required.
Participate in company training.
To be considered you will have the following:
Experience of working in academia and commercial environments.
Degree level qualification in biology / Agriculture/ Agronomy / Soil Science fields.
Effective grant application/ bid writing / business plans and/or project management.
Clear understanding and experience of U.K. and international funding programmes.
Project management skills.
Confident in developing professional networks and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to support effective decision making.
Managing budgets and costing projects.
Excellent presentations skills both written and oral.
