Area Sales Manager - Agricultural Machinery Parts: Northern UK - JN070

Do you possess a proven record of commercial success within the agricultural machinery sector and a sound knowledge of the modern parts market? Are you seeking a new challenge to develop the parts business of a leading global manufacturer? If so, we'd like to hear from you.

Our client, a global agricultural machinery manufacturer experiencing sustained growth, is seeking a parts sales specialist to cover northern England and Scotland (north of the M62). You will develop existing and new business across a network of high-performing agricultural machinery dealerships. You will be capable of working within a budgetary framework, motivated by achieving and exceeding targets

Whether you're from a whole goods or parts background, with experience at dealership or manufacturer level, you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the modern agricultural parts sector. The role is home-based but you will be living in or prepared to relocate to the North of the UK.

What your 'day-to-day' will look like:

  • Working in close liaison with KUHN's authorised dealer network to develop annual sales and marketing plans
  • Ensure that annual budgets are delivered or exceeded in line with turnover and margin expectations
  • Actively promote KUHN products and services within the dealer network and assist dealers, where required, with farm visits
  • Prepare and deliver (alone or within a small team) presentations, seminars and training courses for dealers and end users
  • Participate in shows, demonstrations, dealer open days and other events on a local, regional and national basis
  • Carry out market analysis, including competitor and market trends
  • Maintain dealer and end user database in order to maximise future sales opportunities

What you will possess:

  • Demonstrable commercial success within the agricultural machinery sector
  • Experience within the UK agricultural machinery dealer network or a manufacturer
  • Hands-on and practical experience in the set-up and correct operation of modern agricultural machinery at a semi-technical level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and developing rewarding professional relationships, with a well-developed spectrum of communication strategies
  • IT literate and familiar with modern sales and marketing methods including social media and CRM systems
  • Living in or prepared to relocate to the North of the UK
  • Full, clean driving licence
