Estate & Farming Business Manager - Scottish Island Life - JH321
This is your opportunity to live an Island lifestyle dream. Managing the farm, the Estate, holiday cottage business and the estate's stalking and hunting operation.
If you love the Scottish Islands, Farming, Hunting, and the holiday industry. Then you need to read on. This role combines all of the above and allows you to indulge an amazing life style too.
With over 1000 hectares of natural land and 5000 red deer, as well as rough and driven shoots of woodcock, snipe and pheasant, this is a unique walking stalking estate - with 2 holiday homes on site, visitors from all over the world booked in to have an authentic Scottish hunting experience. In addition to deer stalking, there are a herd of highland cattle that are run across the estate that are farmed for their beef - an enterprise that is run year round. You'll have a knowledge of how to maximize profit and productivity from this beef enterprise and have the ability to run this alongside the hunting operation too. To be successful in this role you'll enjoy working with people and sharing your passion and expertise with them.
This is a rare opportunity for a person, couple or family to immerse themselves in estate life where they will have the opportunity to run this enterprise as their own - the owner lives abroad and as such will rely on the post holder to run a tight ship and be able to report on how the estate is performing once a month. There are both primary and secondary schools near by and the location is only a 30 minute flight from Glasgow, so ideal for families too.
A 3 bedroom house is provided onsite alongside an attractive renumeration package to include bonuses on the hunt as well as shareholder opportunities.
