Assistant Project Manager - Contracting and Environmental Works - Northumberland - JH168

My client is based in Northumberland working on a varying array of projects from environmental projects working in the Fells on river erosion, fishery management, pollution control, habitat creation and woodland management for wildlife, to landscaping - fencing and planting projects on farms, rural estates and country houses as well as commercial projects such as grounds maintenance, fencing and planting. Due to expansion of this fast-paced business, the role of assistant project manager has been developed.

The assistant project manager will be reporting to the MD working alongside them as well as other members of the team. This is not a role where you will be sat behind a desk, instead you will be visiting clients, tendering projects, fronting jobs and working with the team to complete projects in a timely manner. You will have an excellent eye for detail and also will be managing the team, prioritising their whereabouts as well as ensuring they have all they need to do the job at hand to their best ability. You will not be afraid of hard work and will be a hands- on member of the grounds team in addition to your managerial roles.

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Have experience in managing construction/environmental projects.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be highly organised and able to look after multiple projects.
  • Be comfortable and preferably have experience in managing a team.
  • Have experience in using plant operation equipment.
  • Ideally understand conservation and environmental concerns - although not essential.
  • Have a full valid UK driving licence.
