This business is one of the UK’s leading providers of horticultural machinery repair and maintenance services. They are recruiting to support the growth of their business and will consider both experienced and junior engineers.
Candidates from automotive, agricultural/plant machinery or manufacturing backgrounds would likely have the transferable skills to thrive in this job.
This is an interesting and varied role, where no two days will be the same. You will work Monday to Friday and your time will be split between the West Midlands workshop and travelling to grower sites to service and repair machinery in situ.
Engineers from all backgrounds will be considered providing they have mechanical and electrical engineering experience, full training will be provided to get you up to speed on horticultural equipment.
The role
- Maintain and repair machinery
- Deliver and commission machines
- Demonstrate how machinery works to customers
- Provide technical support to customers
- Dispatch spare parts to customers
What you will have:
- Prior engineering experience
- Personable and able to communicate effectively
- Attention to detail
- Prepared to travel (1 or 2 nights away per week, usually midweek)
- UK Driving License
- Basic computer skills
