An Account Manager is required for Western Europe ? excluding the UK. This is a new role created as a result of growth in the company. Previous sales experience is not essential.
The role is to develop sales of a high grade branded silage cover. The product requires a technical approach since it has exceptional oxygen barrier properties leading to demonstrably higher quality silage and less waste. The product is sold widely throughout the world and was developed originally in Europe for the food industry.
The role requires people with the skill to independently identify opportunities with significant opinion forming livestock farmers, primarily dairy farmers, within the countries of Western Europe but excluding the UK and Ireland. Once a business base has been built in a country it may then be appropriate to appoint a dealership, help it put together a plan of action, motivate and train the staff to deliver. You would also be responsible for providing ongoing commercial and technical support behind the scenes as well as in front of prospective customers the dealership introduces.
The role is open to those who have a right to permanent residency in the EU though the preference, not essential, is that the successful candidate be based in continental Europe. The role reports to the Sales Director who is based in the London office.
Candidates must have a high standard of both spoken and written English. A European language other than English will be useful.
The successful candidate will have a strong agricultural livestock background ? preferably in the dairy farming sector and be able to discuss comfortably with dairy farmers.
International experience is not essential but candidates new to international sales should be aware that a major part of the working week will be spent away from a home office base. A great deal of autonomy will be allowed to develop the market.
The rewards include a competitive salary, a significant performance related bonus, company car and contributory pension scheme. OTE, on target earnings, once established should be in excess of Â£60k per annum.
