Interview Technique and Career Direction

De Lacy Executive offers you the help and advice you need to sell yourself effectively in an interview. After many years of agricultural recruitment we know how important the interview process is, so all our candidates are given some help and guidance to help them to succeed in this process.

Some general pointers for success include:

Research the organisation and be prepared to answer questions on it.

Read as much as you can about the vacancy so you can demonstrate your relevant experience and skills at the interview

Think about the explanation you will give about why you are applying for the vacancy.

Think about what you have to offer the organisation in terms of your qualifications, your experience and your personality.

Prepare an honest but succinct explanation for any gaps in your CV.

Be prepared to discuss your previous employment and why you left - try not to bge negative about previous employers!

If you would like detailed advice and guidance De Lacy Executive offers a chargeable service which incorporates interview practice.

Additionally if you have been made redundant after working in an agricultural business De Lacy Executive can help prepare you for the job hunting process ahead, from making an informed choice as to the direction your career should take, to preparing your CV and covering letters, to preparing you to succeed in the interview process.

Testimonials

"As a candidate I can't rate Amanda and De Lacy highly enough. I have dealt with many recruitment agencies (as client and candidate) over the years, and De Lacy is a totally different experience - you really feel that Amanda is interested in you; you're not just fodder for her clients.
Over the 4 years I have been in touch with De Lacy I have only been contacted by them about 3 jobs - the first led an interview but not an appointment, the second the role was withdrawn due to organisational changes and the third I got the job! In fact, I really wasn't looking for a new job when Amanda emailed and called me, but she managed to sell my current role to me and I am so glad she did!
That's the difference with De Lacy and other agencies - De Lacy maintain long term relationships with potential candidates as well as clients, so we listen when they call, which means that they can access professionals who aren't necessarily looking for a change.
Not only that, but De Lacy target their roles very closely, so as a candidate you know they will only get in touch if they think a job is perfect for you, culturally as well as professionally. That is obviously also a great plus for their clients.
I thoroughly recommend Amanda and De Lacy to recruiters and candidates alike - the service she provides is exceptional and really can't be compared to just about any other "normal" executive recruitment agency."

"I don't think I would have made it this far without the positive approach and dedication from both you and John.
I have not yet come into contact with another agency with the ethics and approach held high by you and your colleagues.
Thank you.!
I will most certainly stay in contact."
