Technical Sales - Poultry (Advanced Trainee Possible) - UK - Homebased - H184
A career vacancy has arisen for an ambitious and enthusiastic person who has experience of poultry farming along with experience in sales to poultry farmers (ideally feed). Our client is a well-respected international business which supplies a range of proven nutritional and health products for animals.
The role involves proactively supporting agricultural merchants with sales visits, promotional activities and campaigns. The right applicant will be someone who can quickly develop the confidence to deal with key decision makers throughout the whole supply chain. This is a varied, and demanding, yet highly rewarding role. The products do have a technical base and so the ability to master a technical brief will be essential.
Our client will consider applicants from a variety of backgrounds, including, for example, poultry health, breeding or feed, through various levels of experience. The successful person will be of high sales calibre or will have the potential, with excellent training and support, to be so and will demonstrate the following:
- Understanding of UK poultry industry
- Ideally an agricultural qualification, with an understanding of poultry nutrition
- The skills to influence people and build up long term relationships (this is more than just being good at talking to farmers)
- Initiative, Drive and Enthusiasm are essential
- Success in selling to poultry farmers over at least the last 2 years would be a distinct advantage but is not essential

The role will be home based and will cover the whole of the UK. There will be occasional international travel.
