De Lacy in the Community

We've been been heavily involved in the agricultural community for over 25 years
At De Lacy Executive Recruitment, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us. As a business rooted in the agricultural industry, we understand the challenges faced by farmers and rural communities, and we are committed to making a positive impact. Through sponsorships, charitable donations, and fundraising initiatives, we actively support causes that align with our values.
We also strive to raise awareness of key issues in the sector, promote equality, and create opportunities for all. From mental health support in farming to educational programmes and local events, we are dedicated to contributing meaningfully to the industry and the people at its heart.
Supporting the Level The Field campaign
De Lacy Executive Recruitment is proud to sponsor Farmers Weekly’s Level The Field campaign, alongside other leading agricultural companies.
This year, the campaign focuses on neurodiversity, which refers to the variety of ways in which people’s brains process information and function.
Approximately 1 in 7 people (14%) in the UK are neurodivergent, with recent research suggesting this figure could be as high as 30% within the agricultural sector. In our industry, dyslexia and ADHD are the most common neurodivergent conditions, closely followed by autism.
As a recruitment consultancy, our aim is to highlight the challenges neurodivergent individuals may face during the recruitment process and to advise employers on how best to accommodate them. We also strive to promote the unique strengths neurodivergent individuals can bring to a team, such as creativity, problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
Partnership with We Are Farming Minds
We Are Farming Minds is a Herefordshire-based charity dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of farmers and agricultural workers. Recognising the unique pressures of farming life, they provide free, confidential support, including a 24/7 helpline, counselling services, and community initiatives to combat isolation. The charity also raises awareness of mental health challenges in the farming industry and works to break the stigma surrounding seeking help.
As a company founded in Herefordshire, we have strong ties to the county and its farming community and are committed to supporting the vital work of We Are Farming Minds.
In February 2025, we became a platinum sponsor of the charity, reinforcing our dedication to giving back. We donate a proportion of every placement fee to support their initiatives and are also organising a sponsored walk to raise funds and awareness.
