Animal Feed Formulator
Position Overview
Animal feed formulators provide formulation support to the company's sales and technical team. While this role is often dynamic, the most important duties would be helping manage various feed formulas daily, and assisting with formula maintenance. They often handle customer inquiries regarding animal nutrition and best practices. They work with many different people, such as the mill manager, to solve production challenges. Feed formulators help the company to understand feed regulations for different markets. Additionally, they store records for all feed formulas in an organized database for easy reference. Sometimes they need to develop substitute products when certain ingredients are challenging or expensive to acquire. They should keep up-to-date on the animal feed industry to ensure they provide the best advice regarding technical support and formulation for feed manufacturing.

Required Education and Training
