Sales Manager - Wales and the Midlands - Poultry - C244

We are seeking an experienced agricultural sales professional to manage sales activity and results across Wales and the Midlands.

Our client is a highly respected and successful manufacturer of environmental/climate equipment and systems, largely used in farm livestock buildings, with an emphasis on the poultry sector. The company is proud of its quality, service and innovation, and is ambitious to continue growing in its established, as well as new sectors.

The successful candidate will engage with the customer base including active farms, distributors and contractors to advise on the use of the company's products and services. Proactively problem solving to generate sales through both project specifications and repeat customer business.

The successful candidate will have proven experience selling to poultry farmers. You must be an excellent communicator and able to build effective business relationships with colleagues and customers.

Some electrical equipment expertise will be an advantage, although full product and commissioning training will be given along with on-going support throughout your career.

This is an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious person. You may be an established figure in the industry or in the early years of your career but you must be able to gain product knowledge, features and benefits quickly. You must have enthusiasm and the determination to succeed and be credible as an ambassador for the company. Experience required:

  • Proven sales record - with the ability to add value through technical understanding.
  • The ability to forge strong relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of poultry farming and the challenges affecting production.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Overseeing project installations.
  • Ambitious, competitive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer literacy and IT skills.
  • Able to work on your own as well as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Location: This is a home based role covering the territory of Wales and the Midlands.

Remuneration: A competitive salary and bonus scheme plus car and pension scheme is offered.
