Farm/Mill Manager - Equine Feed - Wiltshire - A649
De Lacy Executive's client is a well-established, brand leader of quality equine feed products. We seek an experienced hands on Farm/Mill Manager to join this privately-owned business. This is an extremely diverse role reporting to the Senior Partners. You will be involved in the management of the production of a range of quality forage products from farm to sale.
During the cultivation and growing season, the successful candidate will be responsible for the production of mixed grasses from land preparation, sowing, fertilising, through to harvesting. The 300 acres of grassland are cultivated and reseeded every two to three years to maintain the consistent nutrient and fibre levels and minimise weeds.
You will also oversee the milling operation with line management responsibility for a small team. This role will incorporate the day to day operations of the production unit and will involve quality assurance, stock control, purchasing, accreditation and logistics.
The successful candidate will be versatile with a practical hands-on approach. A strong team player, you will demonstrate leadership, development and motivational skills. Hands on agricultural management ability is essential.

- Competent in the use, maintenance and repair of a range farm machinery

- Good administrative skills
- The ability to manage, train and support staff is essential
- Good problem solver
- Excellent communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
A negotiable salary is on offer dependant on experience, plus accommodation and company vehicle
