Our agricultural client is one of Britain's leading specialist animal feed companies, supplying feed supplements to the livestock industries in the UK and overseas for over a quarter of a century. It is a forward looking and well established innovator and manufacturer of animal feed supplements and additives with a range of well known brands for which demand is increasing.

The company is FEMAS registered. It has built up a reputation, for its manufacturing skills, for its unique in house formulations and nutritional expertise, particularly in the area of oils and fats. As a result it supplies products to many ‘household’ names throughout the animal feed compounding industry.

As a result the company seeks to recruit a Regional Business Manager to develop existing agricultural accounts and to open new ones. The role will be home based. The regions of particular interest to our client are Scotland, the north of England and the south west of England.

The role will involve the management of agricultural sales to, integrators, animal feed compounder and merchant distributor accounts and the provision of sales and technical support to their sales teams. The role also involves support and motivation of our clients’ team of agricultural sales agents. The product range is mostly ruminant but with a sizeable pig element and some poultry.

There may be an opportunity for applicants who are keen to develop a career in agriculture to take on extra responsibility and manage a small team of agricultural sales staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced salesman to develop a career into man and margin management and into business development. A good general knowledge of livestock agriculture, and ideally previous experience in an agricultural sales job, is required. Product training will be provided along with ongoing technical support in the field.

REMUNERATION:

Remuneration will be by negotiation, and based upon experience, and include a salary, bonus scheme, company car and contributory pension.

Home based in the SW, Wales or North of England
