FEED MILL OPERATIONS MANAGER West midlands
DESCRIPTION:
An exciting opportunity has been created for a Operations Manager for our clients significant volume feed mill. This role will be responsible for managing the safe efficient production of Feed and be directly responsible for the management of the mills production and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the performance of mill production/engineering teams to defined standards.
Be able to motivate and engage small self managed team.
Challenge the process and people to achieve consistent approaches to feed manufacture
Ensure conformance to corporate and legal standards of Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) and engineering at mill.
Use recognised management systems to achieve better than 90% conformance to corporate audit standard.
Establish lead role to ensure the mill assets are fit for purpose and keep pace with best practice.
Be the lead on process improvement and CAPEX project management.
Enforce high EHS standards with the mills contractors
Ensure Feed Mill teams are highly engaged by providing regular training, clear concise communication and appropriate recognition
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
Experience at management level essential
Knowledge of Feed Mill Management Desirable
Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office essential
Previous experience managing people essential
Well educated essential
Strong engineering bias desirable
Need to have effective communication and people management skills
Be self motivated to gain results
Working Hours: 8.00am 5.00pm Monday to Friday, plus any other hours required to complete duties.
