About the De Lacy Executive Team

John Davies

John founded De Lacy Executive in 2000 after a career in agriculture which started as a student studying Agriculture at Harper Adams. From there he moved into a role as an agricultural college lecturer in Scotland before entering the feed manufacturing sector as an animal nutritionist. From this technical start his career developed in a commercial direction and included international technical sales experience in Europe and the Middle East for additives and equipment businesses. Finally he held the role of General Manager of the agricultural division of a large farming business in the midlands where he led a production, sales and technical team involved in grain buying and storage, seed processing, feed manufacture, crop protection and fertiliser sales.

He is one generation removed from a long line of dairy farmers in Glamorganshire. His major relaxation is in challenging hill walking exploits and the preparation for them.

Margaret Wilkinson

Brought up on a dairy farm in Cumbria, Margaret is now a partner in the family arable farming business in North Yorkshire and has a strong farming and agricultural pedigree. Educated at Newcastle University (BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Biochemistry & Nutrition) she initially worked as an Animal Nutritionist and Feed Formulator involved in compound feeds, supplements and homemixing. Spells in Marketing Research and Farm and Feed Assurance followed. Margaret has been working in Recruitment for the last 10 years and joined De Lacy Executive in 2009. She enjoys her rural lifestyle, walking, skiing, good food and travel.

Amanda Latham

Brought up in rural Worcestershire Amanda is an experienced business coordinator with a solid background in both the Public and Private Sectors. She has worked for English Nature and in her career she has honed her recruitment skills in a variety of management, customer service and technical roles. She joined De Lacy Executive in 2011 and whilst serving her own clientele she also provides broad recruitment support, especially in IT, to the company.

Amanda is a knowledgeable Equestrian, who also enjoys skiing, hill walking and rugby (as a spectator!)

Grace Nugent

Grace is the daughter of a farmer who runs a mixed arable and sheep farm in Worcestershire in which she takes a very practical interest. She has travelled as far as New Zealand where she was in charge of running two stations for eight months. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Agricultural Business Management. Grace joined the De Lacy Executive team in 2011 providing marketing and recruitment support, especially for graduates, to the company.

She thoroughly enjoys travelling, reading,the rural way of life and young farmers!
